My wife looks at me funny when I .......

I love this car and I am pretty vocal about it to whom ever is riding with me. Especially the little things that only 5th Generation Maxima enthusiast could appreciate. My wife looks at me funny when I gush about the coolness.
For instance:
1. I like the express down button but I really like the express up button.
2. I like the way that the vents close flush.
3. I like it when I turn the key and the engine goes VVVVVVVVVvvvvoooOOOOOOoommmmmmm all by its self.
So Gen Fivers, what lil' things do we notice that most Non- maxima enthusiast wouldn't or when does your girl look at you funny. Oh, in my wife's defense, she talk me into buying it.

...parking further out in the lot as to lessen the chance of somebody parking right next to you, possibly denting your doors. Of course, the look back a few times to make sure it is still there, in its splendor and glory.

I do that also...
but with me, people also look back at the car with me!
I also stare at it from the second floor window in my house to the parking lot in my backyard. my brother thinks i'm looking at his big as a boat, chevy tahoe, when i'm actually looking at my Max, shining beautifully in the sun!

Me too! I'm constantly looking out the front window of our apartment at my Max. Randomly, throughout the day, I'll say to myself (in my mind), "I DRIVE A MAXIMA!!!", and a huge grin comes across my face.
I love dropping from D to 2...Excellent for roaring around town...I LOVE hearing my engine at about 3.5K, it's a nice growl, like she's saying "C'MON!!! LET'S GO!!!"
Then, parking in our lot and sitting at idle. It is the quietest car I've ever heard, not a single vibration anywhere in the car from the mighty VQ.
I LOVE MY CAR

so I'm not alone......
not only do I look back a few times as I walk away from the car but before stepping into it I make sure to circle it at least twice to check for new nicks or scratches.
I thought I was being a bit obsessive compulsive but now that i know that there are others who do this as well, I don't feel so bad.
