Re: adding a Amp to stock radio

I hooked up 2 12's to my bose by using a line out converter. Its called a Pac SNI adapter. It converts your stock line inputs going to the bose amp in the trunk to RCA inputs for your aftermarket amp.
You will need to get a wiring diagram for your bose amp.
There should be more help and info in the Audio Forum

honestly, and not just because you clearly don't know much about stereos, I would just have a shop put it in..

seriously.. like if you get your amp from good guy or best buy or circuit city, many of them off really good deals (usually free) for installation with purchase of amp.. you do have to buy their $60ish "amp install kit" but it would be worth the money to buy an amp from them and get it installed.. not to mention if it blows, you will get a replacement for FREE (get the ext. service contract) I used it 2x on my amp and 1x on my sub..

WHY YOU ASK? This is your first time.. let a pro do it, then reverse engineer it.. that way, IT STILL WORKS in the end..

Someday sell the amp and get a really high end up and do it yourself..

Good brands to check out for amps: pioneer, alpine, rockford fosgate, phoenix gold (kinda pricey), xtant (really pricey), etc..

BTW. I bought the SNI adapter for $20 at circuit city.
