Is there a charge $ to do TSB work once past warranty

This might be disscussed in another post but the search does not seem to be working for me so here it is.

I brought in the car with the SES light on. They said the ECU
needs reprogramming and I am no longer covered under warranty.
I mentioned that I had read this in the TSB and I thought that
because it was known by Nissan, that they would some how cover it?
They said that they will do there best. I was just wondering
if this should be taken care of by Nissan or not?
At least they are replacing my tranny for free thank god.
44k miles.

If its out of warranty, Nissan has no obligation to repair your car at no charge....you'll have to pay their hourly fees

New tranny at 44k miles? That doesn't sound good about the quality of our cars.

They should cover your tranny for 60K miles - correct ?

Maybe the "thank god" is for them acknowledging the problem

They will pay for the TSB past the warranty if u told them about the prob before the warranty was up and its on your record. Thats along shot but its happened before.

I have a 2000 SE with just under 60,000 miles on it... Did I read correctly that it was STILL warrantied???????????? What if I'm second owner?

I think they mean the tranny. The powertrain warantee is usually longer than the bumper to bumper.

Second owner is of no significance. The warranty is on the car and follows the car wherever it goes.

I was fairly certain that the ECU programming was covered longer than anything else because of emissions. at the very least 60K.
