TV in my '03 GLE

Hello all, I have a 2003 GLE and I am thinking about putting an LCD TV and DVD player into it, I just dont know where to put it. I know I dont want to get an in-dash because I like the Bose system. I was thinking right below the automatic heating/AC controls(where the coin tray is). Do any of you guys have a TV in your max? If so, where? My 2nd question is, how did you install it? I was told the easiest is to use an FM Modulator, which makes sense because of the Bose system.

I thought about the sunglass holder as well, but it seems too small. Do you know of a flip down monitor that can be put in place of the sunglass holder?

I thought about this -- it'll be too hard to see and from a bad angle..

Do what I'm doing - make one that pops up out of the center dash cluster where the vents are on top...

I have been considering cutting the area directly infront of the clock down to the vents. Not sure what is under there, but you could have a screen flip up with that plastic piece as the back cover for it. Two things:

1)If there is enough room between that plastic piece and the vents, which I assume there is because that recess is where the I35 has its flip up screen.

2)Sand all the edges.

This set up would look custom and allow for a bigger screen.

i have the dvd+mp3 player under the glove box...

and as for the TV....... i used the phone holder from radio shack and custom made it to fit the TV so i can attach it on any windows i want.... and those suction cup is pretty strong....... and i mean strong.... so u don't have to worry about falling off or anything like that.....

Where did you get the TV? How big and how much?

Also, how does the tv pick up the DVD and power...I don't see any cords?

I35,

OK, so there are cords but you only hook them in when in use. Right? What brand is the TV?

What I did was drill 2 small holes in my sunglasses holder and attached my monitor there. The DVD player is installed in my glove box. Make sure that the part that attaches to the tv is adjustable so that you can turn the screen the way u want it. I think this was the easiest way to do it. Sorry dont have any pics

6' monitor and let me explain better. The monitor is not inside the sun glasses holder but outside. Your pop it open, drill 2 screews then take the part which hold the monitor attach with the screes, put the monitor on and close the sun glasses holder and there u go. Take the wires and run them on top of the windshield where the cables from the mirror go. Sorry I have no pics but hopefully u can get a better idea. Just use your imagination a lil its really simple.

that is right ... when ever i want to have the tv on... i pull the wire out from the crack b/t the visor and the windshield....

i usually put the TV on the sunroof and close it as much as u can..... and it's perfect for the back people to watch TV...
