SCV + sound quality
SCV + sound quality
I know that in the past there were discussions about the speed-sensitive volume control for the Bose system. I understand how to set it up but I am still not clear on one thing.
The other day I was playing a new CD pretty loud and it seemed like the Bass was kinda weak. I happened to be adjusting the settings and turned on the SCV to HIGH and not only did the sound volume increase but the Bass got boomier. So I shut the SCV off and turned up the volume manually BUT the Bass did seem as good.
Is it possible that the SCV modifies the bass/treble settings in addition to just turning up the volume? On the menu my settings had not changed but the sound was different (better)

I think it does. It just cranks up the sound and the result is higher treble and probably a little louder bass. I also noticed that the thing has a tendency to have a mind of its own and doesn't always kick in when its supposed to.

I'm glad someone else out there noticed the same thing. Before I read the owners manual, I thought the SCV controlled the subwoofer....since it seemed to get boomier when I turned it on.
Too bad that BOSE didn't include a level control for the sub...now that would have been sweet.
