HAVE A BAD ODOR COMING OUT OF THE VENTS WHEN A/C IS ON ANYONE KNOW A WAY TO CLEAR UP THIS PROBLEM THANKS

no just kidding uhm... i heard that you are supposed to let the a/c run on a weekly basis and also the heater just because moisture build up and creates fugus? or something like that... i hope this helps..

I used work at a car wash and I have to say that most of the Nissans (altimas and maximas etc) had smelly air coming from the vents. I have been very disappointed with my maxs AC, I bet if you replace you in-cabin microfilter it might help, the dealer also sells a spray to kill the mold or what ever. Replacing the filter helped me last year and it probably needs it again this year.

I say if you have a microfilter that you haven't replaced in 6+ months its that, replace then try the sprays, etc.

You could have mold in the vents caused by condensation. To kill the sent and the mold you need a can of Lysol. Start up the car, turn on the air to high(not A/C, outside air only). Pop the hood, and spray some Lysol into the vents where the window meets the hood. Do this once a day for about 3 days and the smell will be gone.
