stick vs auto max no.. auto vs auto i think so.. my bro hit 14.7 with just obx intake removed headlight, pulleys adn i think he had his fields vtech controller back then not the apex'i v afc.

i have a 99 lude stick...i can kick max *** at highway speed easy..the gear ratio is alot better in the lude
my 2000 i30 is slowwwww but got tons of torque.so max might be able to kick lude *** in the begining but not after 65....

umm...i beat a new 5spd (civic si color blue) prelude a few weeks ago...i had 2 other people in my car (3 total) and this guy had 2 people total (including him)...i see him coming up quick in the rearview so i punch it...he passes me but after about 20 seconds i got next to him and passed him up...

just race the guy in the prelude...don't ask "should i race him or not"...thats what racing is all about, you can't win everytime (unless you have an m5 or something)...just race him...if you lose, so what...if you win, you can come on here and brag about it

My neighbor just got a brand new SH, he's got exhaust, intake and cams... we raced down a 2 mile stretch of straight road about a week or two after both of us got our cars he already had modded his. I have a 2k A/T bone stock and he has a 2k prelude SH manual tranny. Basically off a dead stop he pulled about half a car on me up till about 40 when i started to catch up.. 40-80 we were practically dead even, after 80 i started to steadily pull in front, then after 100 it was over, i hit about 115-120 and he was 3 or four lengths behind me... i don't know if he's just a horrible driver but i would say that after 80 i had him fully spanked.

who knows, i'll hit him up for a race again sometime.

 

Just as an update...the guy with this Prelude blew his motor last week!!

 

cams and a venom chip only run a 15.4 three times in a row.. so i dont think they are all that fast
