Which looks better/meaner? What's the price difference? What color would look good on an Icelandic Pearl Max?

Any ideas would be great. I've only seen one AE Max and I don't remember how it looked. I've seen the Stillen Aero kit on this BB, but it's still hard to get a clear picture of what the end result would be on my car.

Look at Maxx-s-ter's posts... he has an Icelandic Pearl Max with a Stillen kit.

I think the Stillen one looks a bit fat but if you want the exhaust to show it is the kit to get.

The AE is very well integrated and not too showy. I am amazed at how well it fits the body.

I was in a Ford dealership looking at a limited edition Focus ZX3 and noticed that the body kit was put on with double sided tape and was peeling away from the body because it didn't exactly match the curves. They tried to fix it by putting spaces in between the body and the kit. It was really nasty looking. You could peel the front part off with one hand.

Sounds like they just slapped it on and jacked up the price. I hope no one's going to buy that car. Imagine driving down the freeway and all of a sudden *CLUNK CLUNK*. Look back in the rear view mirror and see the bumper... yikes!

Thanks for the input guys!! I'm 90% sure I'll buy the Stillen once I find a shop to install it.

Anybody install a Stillen Aero kit? If so, how is it done and how difficult is it?

I know a BADA$$ paint shop guy, but he refuses to do a body kit because of the pain in the a$$.

Also, does anybody think I should paint the Aero kit a different color than the car for a two-tone look? If so, what color looks good besides black on Icelandic Pearl?

I saw the "project Max" on Stillens site which had a custom blue paint with a gold Aero kit and it looked pretty hot.

Well, i look at it this way. The AE kit is kinda refined, it looks more so as a "part" of the car, but the Steal-in kit looks more agressive, and will gain a lot more looks then any AE kit.

AE kit

It's virtually impossible to get the AE kit at this time. My wife was in an accident in October and the dealership STILL hasn't been able to get the kit for me. I'm currently driving around in an AE with the kit on the 2 sides and rear of the car.

Thanks everyone! I'm still wondering what people think about a different color body kit compared to the Ice Pearl car color. Besides black!

Keep in mind that I am biased, but I think that the 20th Anniversary Edition looks better. The Stillen looks too bulky, which equates to curb damage. I am not familiar with the price either.

If you don't lower your car, I doubt you'll get curb damage. I park over normal sized curbs with millimeters to spare. Since the Eibachs lower your car 1.5 inches, you should have no problems.
