30000 milw service

I have a 2k2 gle "at" that i bought used, it has about 27500. The guy was a commuter!. Has anyone taken their car for the 30000 service and how much did it cost? There are a couple thing listed that i won't have done, like the wipers and the in cabin filter. I know some people will say that it is unneccary but i think it will be good to get a fresh start on the fluids!

Thanks
ed

My max drives 80 Miles a day ( ) and so far, I got the plugs cleaned and a computer upgrade on my 2000 SE. It's got 50K total miles and has only had two things services.

There may be high miles on it, but as opposed to what you hear from others, there is nothing to say they were 'hard miles'. Actually, since most of this sounds like it may have been highway miles, unless the previous owner was a sales rep of some kind, those are the best and least damaging miles a car can have.

I don't think you need to pay dealer costs for a '30K service', just look at what is in that list of 'service items' and do those you can yourself. Then take it somewhere for others if you feel it needs it.

How so? Do you know the car and former owner personally? His post said the guy was a commuter, which incidentally, are the best miles you can put on a car.

I have put over 30,000 miles on my 2K2 Max since I got it 13 months ago. I commute about 100 miles a day. Of those 100 miles, 82 of them are on the highway. Those are the best miles I have put on this car.

Dealer 30K service is a waste of money IMHO. Even if you got it all done somewhere else you'll spend much less money.

Highway miles aren't considered hard in my book, i beleive city miles are considered "hard". i know that he was a commuter because i knew the sales rep at the infiniti dealer that i bought it from. he traded it in for a g35. I went in the day after the trade and it was held for me w/o a deposit. Another indication that it was highway miles was that the trip computer had 28 mpg when i test drove it. I feel there is no way to avg that much with hard miles. Currently with the hard miles i,m putting on it, its less then 20! I have gotten it to read, after a reset, 23 mpg with mixed city and about 120 highway miles.

Anyway any quotes on a 30000 miles service or what you would get serviced if you were in my shoes!!!
