Door not lining up!
Hey man, I don't have this problem with my max, but I had it on my old Explorer. This is what the problem was...
When you open your door fully, pick it up from the bottom and see if you can lift it up.. If you can pick it up, your problem is this.
There is a plastic piece that makes the door level, there should be two of them. They are located on the hinges, you should be able to see them when you open your door fully.
On my explorer, one of them broke and caused the door to sag, I couldn't even close the damn thing. The piece was $37 at the ford dealership.
I'm sorry, I don't know really how to explain it on a maxima, but when I get a chance I'll go outside and take some pics and circle what you should be looking for.
