What should be my next mod?

First, take a look at my homepage to see all my current mods. Then, come back and recommend to me what should be my next mod.

Only list things that are currently available. Things such as headers, turbos, SCs, etc aren't available, so don't list them.

Note: Rims are about the only thing I'm not doing just yet, so recommend anything but that.

1) I'm not lowered - make a recommendation for springs/struts or coilovers.

2) I won't do rims yet just because I want to run out of warranty first. And the fact that I just put new tires on the car.

3) I want to do the CustomMaxima.com kit when it becomes available. The front bumper is sweet looking. But I'll wait until the second round just so that I know that the fitment is good.

4) The SC/Turbo stuff is expensive. I don't mind doing it just yet, but wanted to let some more time and research go into it before I do it. And I want to wait until the warranty is gone. Only 6000 more miles.

Anything else that you can recommend? I'm running out of ideas myself, which is a first for me.

Like I say, if you got extra cash get the JIC, if not then go for the KYB AGX's with Sprints or Teins. Those give the most drop by far and no you will not have problems scraping. I have the Teins on Toks on my 01 and I have a bodykit as well and I havnt had any problems at all. Not coming up or down driveways, nor on speedbumps (I had 5 people in my car all well over 200lbs) even with a full load. Your obviously still gonn have to use common sense for the curbs and goin up driveways sideways but no problems as of yet.

You gonna be out of warranty in 6K miles Dont tell me you already have 54K on the ODO. I dont see why rims would void any warranty though. Id personally be more worried about all the other stuff in your car voiding warranties then the rims.

I've only got 30k on the ODO. 3/36,000 was what I got. And 2 out of 3 dealers haven't given me grief over the mods. Only one did, and I don't go there anymore anyway (for a couple of reasons).

The rims will come once these tires wear out more. I just put them on about 3k ago, so I've got some time before I change them over. I want to put some 18" Konig Tantrums (or something real similar) on when I do it.

As for the springs, etc, I'm undecided because I'm not sure which ones to get because of the rims. I also want to get shocks that fit the springs. I don't know what the 18s are gonna look like compared to the 17s I have now. I'd assume they'd be the same (just use a smaller profile tire on the 18s), but I want to be sure.

If I went the JIC route, what else would I need to buy in order to drop the car (camber kits, etc)? I haven't done enough research on them yet. I was also looking at the Cattman/Progress coilovers too. Any information on them would be nice as well.

Thanks.

studman since your planning on staying stock till your warranty runs out. I suggest to atleast lower the car with some CATTMAN/PROGRESS Coilovers. For more info:"CATTMAN/PROGRESS COILOVER INFO..." Oh,BTW...Any word on the aftermaket MAFS we talked about before???

JIC has everything you'll need. Adjustable camber, Adjsutable Struts, Adjustable ride height, ect... You dont need to buy anything else, it comes with everything you need. Since you done need a spring compressor it will be alot easier to install just 5 bolts for each front strut and 3 bolts for each rear. Look at it this way, If you want adjustable camber then Stillen is basically your only choice which is gonna be over $400, If you want to get adjustable struts the AGX's are the obvious choice 450. Adjustable Springs then GC's are it another $400. Right there youve racked up well over 1200 probably gonna be near 1400 in the end. I personaly would just pay a few hundred extra and get something designed perfectly for itself. If I get another suspension besides my Tein/Tok combo id get the JIC.
Thats just my .02 on the suspension advice, it makes sense because JIC is the best out there.

Can't. I already installed the Maxima.org license plate. So now everyone will know to find slow cars here on the .org

Any word on the aftermaket MAFS we talked about before???
Last time I checked, they were still being mapped out by the company that will make them. I'll see if I can't find out something over the next few days.

you definitely want KYB GR2s as your struts....Tokicos are tooo harsh.....I went with Maxspeeds because of price and I don't want a huge drop...so I'd go with them or H&Rs....

if you want low, go Eibachs or Teins...

I've temporarily given up my quest for this but you could step in, especially if you have decent connections at Nissan.

The quest was for lightweight power steering and alternator pulleys. No luck in having them made so far, at least not without 20 or so people paying up front.

The other possibility is the our pulleys are the same as the 350Z. Unorthodox has these available already. If they are the same, maybe we can convince Definitive Motorsports to make a less expensive version.

You could be the first Max with a full lightweight pulley set!!!

Warpspeed SFC's (all stages 1-3)...your car will ride much tighter/rattle-free and handling will dramatically improved!

I had a friend test drove my car last night. He is a financial supervisor for VW/Audi/Subaru. He had driven so many new cars (demo) and he commented on how tight/rattle free and fast my car was with over 25,000 miles on the odometer. He's currently driving a 03-Passat V6-5 speeds which I also had test driven. Very nice car indeed...but almost $30 grands for it tho. IMO, the Maxima is a better overall value.
