For those with a 2002 ESM...

For those with a 2002 ESM, can you open the FWD.PDF file and tell me what the following says:

Edition: ________________________
Revision: _______________________
Publication No.: ________________

Mine is as follows and I have found 2 errors so far.

Edition: July 2001
Revision: September 2001
Publication No.: SM2E-1A33U1

The errors are:

In the EL section, one of the wire colors of the SECU unit is incorrect. It's either wire 54 or 56. They both state that they are Gray, but only one wire is actually Gray. The other is Green with a Yellow Strip. The / is missing in between the 2 letters.

The other error is in the BT section on pages 13-14. The picture and instructions for removing the front bumper shows that the grille is permanently attached to the bumper, which is not the case. I believe that this section may have been copied and pasted over from previous years.

If your sections do not contain these errors, let me know. I'm getting ready for a call to Nissan to get a newer version.

I've got the same thing. I bought mine in May 02. Maybe they updated it later, maybe not.

Mine says

Edition: July 2001
Revision: August 2002
Pub.# SM2E-1A33U4

Not sure about the EL section. Can you specify the page? There's about a thousand pages there!! (and I'm 'electrically' challenged)

In the BT section it seems to be the same as yours...doesn't show the grille as being removable.

Try EL-351. Look at numbers 54 and 56. They are both GY.

For those with revisions dated soemtime in 02, is there a description of the HLSD? My Sept 01 copy makes no mention of it, which makes sense since it was a late production option, but I'm curious as to how the HLSD works.

Found it. Both 54 and 56 in my ESM say GY. Looks like both our ESM's are the same.
