Question On ECU Codes, Anyone Have P0021 or P0011
So I pulled some codes off my ECU today cuz my SES light has been on. I have a Berk intake right now, took of the GAB till I figure out a better method. The codes are:
P0021 & P0011
I looked them up and got...
Camshaft Position Actuator A - Bank 2 Timing Over-Advan.
Camshaft Position Actuator A - Bank 1 Timing Over-Advan.
My questions are:
1) Has anyone else gotten these codes before?
2) If so, did I get the right code/problem match?
I have not advanced timing, should I take it to the dealer? I really don't want to deal with them if I don't have to, but I will if there's no other option. Ideas???

If none of the above are the problem, return to stock and visit a dealer soon. When it comes to internals of the engine's intake, sometimes it's worth the extra time/effort to have it repaired correctly.

I found this Service Information in the Nissan Tech site. I don't know if it is what's causing your problem but worth mentioning it to your dealer...
Good luck

Service Information: If a 2002 Maxima/I35 or a 2002 Altima w/V6 engine should develop the following symptoms; - DTC with P0011 or P0021 with a possible P0300 stored (with possible misfire) The cause may be the Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid. Ifthe Intake V.T.C. sprocket is not in the correct position at the correct time because of Solenoid malfunction, incorrect valve timing could occur, causing the symptom. Service Procedure: Look for a cylinder misfire that is isolated to only one bank ofcylinders. Once the bank is isolated, check the function of the Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid for that bank. So after going to the dealer the codes haven't come back. Does that mean my engine is fine? After they clear the codes are they able to come back if there's an issue again? Just wondering if there's a way the dealer maybe disconnected the ECU or something. Just being paranoid. Thanks in advance.

The dealer can't disconnect the ECU. The car won't function. It's possible that they reset the codes, but if the problem still exists, they will come back. If they didn't fix it and you run out of warranty, you can call NNA and complain to them in order to get it repaired free of charge. So you should be set.
This doesn't apply to certain parts though, such as a MAF, O2 sensors, coil packs, etc. These items do wear down over time, so expect a bigger battle to get those fixed for free once you're out of warranty.
