Recently I got my friend, who is a mechanic, to pull the codes because my Service Engine Soon light is on. He said that it is the oxygen sensor by the Catalytic Converter. Is this covered under the 5 year 60,000 miles warranty or any other warranty such as the emissions because my car is a 2000 SE with 47,745 miles on it. And if it is not under warranty, wheres the best place i can get the 02 sensor done cheaper than Nissan (they'll charge me $300). Thanks for the help guys!!

 

The O2 sensor is only covered under the 3/36k... the 5/60k is for the powertrain.

You can go to a place like Midas and they should be able to change it cheaper than the dealer. Or you could change it yourself... they are easy.

As I thought, 8 yr/80K mile fed emissions warranty should cover it (love that search feature ). check this thread out:
