Pics of my scratch

Finally took some pics of the scratch I got when my car was just two weeks old. The car was kept in a parking structure downtown and it looks like some idiot just nailed me turning into a spot. When I came to my car, the corner light was popped out and hanging down

In any case, at the time it was winter and I thought that black mark was the paint from the other car. Um....no. That's SOOOO not what happened.

Anyone know how much this will cost to repair?

Thanks in advance! Clicky

OUCHHH.... Thats a nasty scratch. I would think that you would have to repaint the back bumper? I would say $200

Definitely not a surface scratch. When you run your hand over the area, it's very uneven.

I wish I could have been there when it happened...

Don't paint the bumper. That seems like a good excuse for the custommaxima.com kit. :-D

Actually, I had some damage to my rear bumper (caused by me). The body shop did a nice job of heating it up and smoothing it out...can't tell the difference now.

I think they can use some filler, smooth it out, then blend the paint. Looks like a $200 - $300 job.

That sucks though.

Yeah about $250. They shouldn't have to replace your bumper though, just fill, sand, and paint.

Yes...but then you still need another $200 to paint it.
