wont stay in gear

Hey guys I recently noticed something and was wondering if this has happened to anyone. On my 02 6spd if i park on an incline and leave the car in 2nd or 3rg gear whatever the case may be, the car will roll back(steep incline)and of course with power brakes,it doesnt help tp hit the brakes unless the car is on.It scared the **** out of me ,I almost hit something.

Don't leave it in either of those gears--they're too low. If you're parking on a decline (front is lower than back), leave in reverse. If you're parking facing uphill, leave the car in 1st, not any other gear.

Also, dont forget the e-brake, and you'll be good to go.

And, always put the e-brake on first, and then put it into gear. So, car in neutral with your foot on the brake, pull up the e-brake, take your foot off the brake, and then put the car into gear.
