P1220 Code -- Anybody experienced this?
P1220 Code -- Anybody experienced this?
Car runs great - no change. I assume the fuel pump control module (FPCM) is not reducing the voltage applied to fuel pump during idle, etc. Anyone having experience with this problem or the FPCM itself - your help/thoughts would be greatly appeciated.

I got over it...
The unit appears to have a history of failure in the 2000 Maxima.
I was told by a knowledgeable Nissan person that its function was to reduce electrical load by lowering the voltage to the fuel pump at idle.
When the unit goes "out" you get full car voltage to the fuel pump.
I never fixed mine (my sons). He drives the car to this day. Runs great.
It is located in the trunk, left side (from memory). I checked the price back in 2003, as I recall a bit >$100. I decided to drive it.
Hope this helps,
Tim
