Just Installed MAG-Lite Mounts. Check It Out!!

Well, as everyone knows the big buzz as of late is that nifty MAG-Lite install performed by no other than Mr. MAG-Lite himself "maximadave". I decided to jump on the band wagon and do the install myself. Check out page nineteen of my homepage for a write-up with tons of pics. I also mounted one on the passenger side. Why should the passenger have nothing to beat the car jacker with? Let me know what you all think.

The "MAG-LITE" mod is cracking me up! These names kill me... remember when I once thought to myself, "What the hell is a blown MAF?"

Seriously though, this is pretty cool. I'm thinking about doing it with my huge rechargeable stream-lite. I can light a house from 1/2 mile away with that damn thing.

Good job! (you too maximadave)

How's that single exhause setup on your 3.5SE? Is there an advantage over a dual setup?

I know, every one's doing it. Hey PMAS76, good idea for the one on the passenger side. Gotta have if the monster from the movie Darkness Falls shows up.

Hrm... I wonder though. It doesn't look like it's sturdy enough to hold my 6 D-cell Mag light. Maybe I'll need 2. And maybe we could rig it up to bolt to the bolts that hole the seat down.

Cool idea though. I've got mine wedged between the seatbelt area and the center console under the driver's seat.

And yes, it IS a 6 D-cell Mag Light. I had to go to Virgina (of all places) to buy one, as they don't sell them in the south (not that I know of - 5 D-cell was the biggest).

alright for all you guys jumping on the MAG LITE band wagon. I just drove my car to the parking garage today. I just hope to find my MAG where I left it. <> Anyone considering removing the flashlight and put it under the seat or somewhere when they take their car to a garage or something.
--------------------------------
Note: Just spoke to some folks at Home Depot...
MAG LITE GD...$21 SHIPPED
This is a joke...

My cousin wrote/produced "Darkness Falls". His name is John Fasano. He lives out in Hollywood. Another movie that he wrote that you will all be familiar with i'm sure is "Another 48 Hours" with Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte.

It's funny who does and who does not consider VA to be in the South

Where exactly did you buy that 6D (long sword) Maglite? Do you carry it around in a sheath on your back?

It looks like you are doing all the beating and your passenger is not doing anything....by the condition of the 2 mag lights

I've got a 6 D-cell too. I had to search high and low for that thing in NY. I bought it almost 5 years ago and it was like $30 at the time.

I'm gonna upgrade to a smaller silver one, my 6 cell is black.

That is great. I been looking for a place to keep it. Is it safe to drill into the floor like that? Any possibility of water coming up from underneath....rust down the road....

no, not at all, just as long as you screw down the mount tight you'll be fine
