2004 Mazda RX-8

Man just took my first real look at the new 2004 mazda rx8 online it looks awesome. What have you guys heard if anything about that car and the rotary engine, seems like the 6 speed may be pretty fast. it may be in my furture...

the z is still faster and better looking. especially in the front end. the front end of an rx8 looks like bugs bunny.

No sir, I don't like it. Blah blah it has a rotary engine - who cares? It isn't that fast really. The four doors make the car look waaay too long between the wheels. The proportions just look out of whack to me.

Gimme the latest generation RX-7 any day over this hunk of crap.

Don't think these will be doing any major blowing-by. Look at the torque numbers and the hp peaks WAYYYY up the rev band. By the time this thing gets 'wound out', other cars will have just moved right along.

Rx-8 is nice in its own special way... 1.3L engine creating 250 NA-HP!!
but the torque really sucks only around 150.. and good luck finding a worthy mechanic willing to work on a rotary engine, for a good price .

The same price range.. I would go with the EVO (13.0 qtr/mile)
