I know this might be stupid and a bit self-serving but here goes...

around Bayside, Queens and my neighboring towns I've noticed a bunch of 5th gen Maximas who look to be lightly modded and I don't see them on this board, so I figure "make up some business cards with my cars pic and the maxima.org url and leave them on these guys windshields so they can check out the site and hopefully join up"

not a bad idea, eh???

I like the idea, man... I'm tempted to do the same when I see a young(er) driver with a Maxima... I stay away when it looks to be a 'family' vehicle, though.

Damn, thats cool that you guys see dudes with modded maxima's in your area. Down here Im surrounded by ricers and trucks. Ive only seen one 5th gen max a 00 or 01 Lowered on some chrome (whack) rims. Think they are the hammers im not sure .. I havent bumped in to a modded 02 or 03 max. And Miami is a pretty big crowded city.

 

thats cuz Miami catz got no taste! when I was down there a couple months ago, all I saw were wack a$$ cars...they did have hot tints tho....even the cops down there got mirror tints...wtf????

 

Yup they sport whatever tints they want. Down here everyone sports dark boys. On my car I didnt go 5% cause I didnt wanna make the windshield tint to obvious Later on I might rip off these 20's and throw in some 5's. If you go to south beach on Friday and Saturday nights, youll see alot of nice rides, But were talking Benz, Bimmers, Escalades etc..

 

theres no law bro?? I know up here, can't even really have tint except for back windows but like I said, even the cops had full mirror tints, with little cutouts in the back for the lightbars to shine through....

I wish I drove down there instead of flew....I woulda had them tint my windows with that same mirror tint...can't find that **** up here!

Oh yea theres a law, depends if the cop wants to be DIC*. On my old max 00 gxe, I had 2% all around and 35% on the windshield. A cop pulled me over and said this "Dude I dont care about the rest of tints on the car, but that windshield tint needs to go, Either you rip it off right now or I'll give you a ticket for each tint that is illegal on the vehicle. I was like damn each window? $70 for each window? So im like here "I'll rip it off". So i ripped off the front windshield tint and drove home with glue all over my windshield (I couldnt see sh*T) Well, He was nice enought to let the other windows slide. Well the next day I had the windshield tint back on . Cant live without that baby down here.

Some cops even carry around that Tint percentage device

 

damn....took me like 2 hours just to remove the tint on the front 2 windows on my old 97 grand cherokee..(mom dukes b!tched she couldn't see out at night when she would drive it)..did the cop actually stay there and watch u rip it?? musta taken u 4eva and a day!

 

Oh ya, he stayed there, It actually took me like 5 minutes cause the tint was only on there for like a week, so when i peeled the corner I just peeled(little by little) the whole tint off. Next time your gonna take tints off, I recommend you use a razorblade and windex (works like a beast).
