I was rotating the tires today, and I looked over at the set of drag rims/tires off of the Stang, and said to myself...."Hmm, wonder if they'll fit." Well I bolted them up, and they clear the brakes no problems, the offset is a little goofy, but hopefully I'll get a 1.9 or even a 2.0 60'. Thats all I need to run a 13.9x So off to the track tonight, I'm taking lots of ice for the intake, and shooting for a 13.8x.

Cool air = faster times. You'll hit 13's no doubt. I wish I could get out there tonight. Good luck Dave.

Well, didn't work out as planned. Track was super sticky, and the car wheel hopped so bad that my center console flew open. So it was a waste, but at least now I know, and I can quit wondering. And no, the tires didn't rub either, just looked real stupid.

I thought you bogged or something. I figured those tires were too wide. The most the max needs is 225 or even 215's would work for slicks. The track was sticky as hell, you could hear the slow cars driving my while their tires just peeled off the track. I should have ran but got bored of seeing almost all the cars run the same times over and over and over. Whats so special about runnin high 9's? I took off around 9.

I don't think I have publicly admitted this before but we put my neighbors Stang rims on my car once to burn them up. They surprisingly fit very well..lol
