difference between the 222hp and 255hp engines?

what kind of 1/4 mile and 0-60 differences are there between the two engines in either manual or automatic? how much would a stock 2k2 auto smoke my stock 2k SE auto?

also, are there any exterior differences between a 2kSE and a 2k2/2k3 SE besides the tail/headlights?

let's see... there are new colors, a bigger hamburger in the grill, and, oh yeah, and extra .5 liter displacement .

Go to the 1/4 forum and start reading times and you'll get all the performance (straight-line, anyway) answers you need.

other exterior differences - different looking wheels, and the 2k2+ come with side skirts.

Just get the 3.5 and stop asking questions. My 3.0 auto with virtually every simple bolt on (excluding UDP) including timing advance bested a 15.5 at 89.99mph the 2k2auto has ran as fast as 14.6 stock. But should still easily run 14's, hell people have ran 14's in the 2K2 with 19's on!

Auto vs. Auto: Pretty badly!! The auto 2K-2K1 Max flatout needs forced induction to run with/beat a stock 2K2 auto on the open road or dragstrip.

Your auto is just slow. The 2k-2k1 guys seem to have less engine problems and we dont have the dreaded 2k2+ MAF.

seriously now... i think the 3.5L engine is made of lighter materials than the 3L, but im not saying its weaker(someone please confirm or set me straight) +plus the 3.5L has this problem plagued Drive By Wire.

go to ebaymotors.com and check out the max's for sale. you will find several diff b/w the 3.0 & 3.5 max's interiors(seats, steering, etc) and exteriors (previously stated by others).

Oh comon now...he has an auto not a 5spd. For a auto, compared to some that are runnin 16's its not that slow. Its not fast but ehh whatever. I just didnt feel like getting into the headache of S/C and blowing the tranny. Nor am I in the mood to do a tranny swap and mess with so many small parts. Check your PM's in a few min steve.

When you said more respect, you remind me of that guy that mumbles alot in the movie Office Space. I think his name is Millerd or something (the guy with the red stapler).

the 02/03's have a bigger hamburger on the front grill... the rear emblems are silver and regular font, as opposed to the darker colored italicized font of the 00/01 se's (i personally think the older emblems and taillights look better).... those are the only things that come to mind at the moment...
