Look what I did to my poor baby (pics)

I finally did some major modding to my car. I got new rims, AE kit, and GAB mod. I was finally happy with my car's appearance. .

Me and my friend both have same year maxima's and I wanted to show him my new look and the sound of the GAB. It was at my pastor's apartment at night, and there wasnt much lighting. I started to back up, really wasnt paying attention, and then BAMB!, I hear a crunch. I backed up a beat-up old toyota pickup truck. I hit his bumper.

Luckily, there was no damage to his bumper, i guess it's b/c it was metal.

Here are link to the pics...

PICS HERE

I really feel like an idiot. Do you guys think I need to get a new bumper or can this be fixed w/o getting a new bumper... Any body who had this kind of damage and fix it, can you tell me a rough estimate to fix this..THX

EEP! A new bumper cover will go for around $200. Paint, clearcoat, labor will go for another $200. You're looking at around a $400-500 job.

Maybe having it pulled out, sanded, repainted, clearcoated will be cheaper?

HOLY SHI*, Thats a huge BITC*. Sorry about the dent bud, I would estimate a new bumper painted for about $350 to $400. Or they might be able to pop out that dent and repaint the bumper.

It may indeed be possible, but the cost of doing this rather than getting a completely new bumper and painting it may not be worth it.

My suggestion is to take it to a reputable body shop and get an estimate on how much it would cost to fix the existing bumper. Then, once you have that ballpark figure, call up Dave Burnette, and get a quote on a new bumper. I think it's around $130-150. If you can find a place to paint it for $150, you're looking at around $300 for the entire thing, and you get a brand spankin' new bumper!

May be worth it to go in that direction.

Just got rear-ended last Tuesday. The estimate to replace the bumper, paint it, etc etc is $650.35

Hope that helps.

i got rear-ended a couple months ago, a little more serious - it damaged the internal bumper support. estimate for repair, including new bumper and paint, and new internal support brace, $1800. pics here, for comparison

sucks, man! hopefully you'll be so paranoid in the future after this that it won't happen again.

I don't know how those two circles can be so far apart and the bumber out so far. At least nissan puts on better bumpers than paint.
