Who hear races in SCCA?

Tire pressures...well, i'm running street tires and I'm running aftermarket rims. I ran my max twice in a "road racing environment". Once was autoX. I found the steering to be too disconnected and did not perform well for the tight turns that an AutoX commands.
When i road raced it (90mph limiting speeds) with other cars on the track, i found it to be really sure footed (being on street tires and all) and found that brake fade was minimal.
Just fill your tires to max psi cold. chalk them, see how much of the tires is rolling over (if at all)...if you find you're sliding too much, let a bit out until it sticks better but doesn't roll over the rim.

Depending on the driver. I could push a ITR faster around a track than my Maxima. Stock for stock, the ITR is an easier car to drive and manage on a track. The maxima is a good sporty sedan...it's by no means a "Race car" or a "track" car. It does well against other fwd 6 cylinder 4 doors...but, compare it to a lighter fwd ITR/Civic/etc...and you're REALLY having to push the maxima to stay ahead of those other cars.
