New to the forum. Sure this has been asked a million times before but looking for input on what 16" tires best for a 2000 Maxima GXE. Am a very normal driver but would like to get more than 30000 our of them. Price is also a factor. Thanks for any input. If someone can tell me how to search topics it would also be great. Thanks.

Get the Bridgestone Potenza RE950 for your 16" wheels. About $100.00 per tire. It gets great reviews. I got a set for my 16" wheels and they do quite well.

 

Did you buy after market rims? I have a 2000 GXE and I am pretty sure that the GXE wheels are 15"

 

Like jjs said, spend time at tirerack.com. i have Dunlop SP Sports A2's and I love them. Just read the road tests and other opinions.

I would expect to pay between $100 and $110 per tire. I have this tire in the option 17" SE size on our 2k and they rock! From snow to driving in torrential rains last weekend at 70+ MPH they do a great job. Rotate them regularly and expect to get 50k miles out of them in the 16" size.

I bought mine at sears for the ~same price and i like them.

 

Actually GXEs with the comfort & convience pkg came with 16s...
(just like SEs with the c&c came with 17s.)

I have Dunlop A2s on my LEgend. I love them. When I get my 5th gen I will surely get A2s for them too.

 

for the price you will pay the Michelin tires are the best tires by far... get the performance luxury ones.. really good traction dry and wet...last bout 60 to 80 thousand ... they run bout 130 each
