Man, what do you do for a living and have you already pruchased a house? Every time I think about doing this kind of stuff, I always come u with at least 3 other things that could use the funds and/or attention.

Don't get me wrong, life is not check to check at all...there is just always somethign else that comes up.

I sell TV air time. I am by no means rich, but I do own a house. My mortgage is, ironically, less than I was paying for my college apartment.

I just have a really hard time saving money. I'm 24. I want to live it up while I still can before I have kids. I guess you can say I am getting the mid-life crisis out of the way pretty early.

BTW- I am not trying to brag with this thread. I just want to exemplify how stupid I am with my money. I have like $2000 in my savings account along with a decent 401K and that's it.

Yeah, ummmm...I need to work on that. As long as I don't break $8K, I'm happy.

Talking about debt, I have a friend who is going into debt because he was modding his car. He owns a Acura RSX and has spent 7000-10000 modding his car. Plus, he has to pay for college himself. He is only 20 years old. I feel sorry for him.

LoL. You're too funny andy, lol. You get what you pay for man, your car looks tight as hell, quality rims and car along with leather and everything. Just keep in mind that your car looks better and is faster than any car in its price class.

just bought a 2003 SE, and have wanted to do some things to it.. unfortunately i am also trying to save for a wedding and a house... lets just say my decisions are like a bill coming from congress.. vetoed by a higher authority.

oh you're only 24? man dont worry about a thing!! So what if you spent some dollars on mods and cars. you only live once. you already own a house and you have a 2k2 max. I say thats pretty good. I have no CC bills now and my car note has ended! Now i'm contemplating if the 350Z is worth $400/$500 a month for another 4,5 years. But oh boy being debt free is such a nice feeling. I had forgotten how good it is to be debt free !

How funny, Im 33, have a child, am divorced and single now, loving it, doing what I should have been doing before I got married at 20. Im making up for lost time. And this new car of mine is only the beginning, no mods yet, but the itch is there, just have not jump on anything yet. Debt, of course debt is there ,it always gonna be there. Never got anything without paying for it. Now credit cards are another issue, they are the anit christ. I have my fair share of them, wish I didnt, but oh well. You can either dwell on it or live life everyday likes its your last. I chose to enjoy it, debt or no debt.
