Why would you want the 8.5:1 compression pistons when you can get the 11.5:1 compression pistons for the same price? Higher compression is better.

Looks like a Direct-port nitrous system to me.

Pistons

The 8.5:1 C/R are for forced induction, the 11:1 are for Naturally Aspirated engines.

Very likely its intended for the Z and G models, however if the engines are of same models then I cant see why It wouldnt fit as well. Unless our Maxima's have different internals compared to Z and G that im not aware of.

This stuff won't discriminate. Those internals were actually made from a Maxima/Altima engine donor.

higher compression is better if you're not running boost. however, if you're going to run boost (supercharged/turobcharged), then the lower compression would be better to prevent detonation. there are cars that run high compression and high boost, but they're either running at 100+ octane, or they're using methanol.

Dang... now you've just added another $3500 to my list of mods. We've got to find them cheaper. At this rate, I'll have more money in the car than what I paid for it.

Blah, the cams and upgrades for the heads I understand the price. The internals, well you can get them for cheaper from a better source. Custom made obviously but not over $1k for pistons, $1K for rods, ect... What brand well thats all specific depending on who you contact to get them made. Crower, JE, ect... thats a start the list can go on for pages.

YES, now all we need is for custom maxima to get that turbo kit out, 8.5:1 forged pistons, forged rods, and cams. we'll be ready for 14+psi with an intercooler. now lets find adjustable cam gears\
