I get crazy chatter with mines. Running the ACT Street clutch. It could also my my urethane mounts that are increasing the vibration.

I guess that I got screwed by a DB error. Anyway, here is my post.

I was wondering how many of you with 5th gen 5spd'd deal with clutch chatter? I myself have always had a little, but I just delt with it. Now at 30k it is getting worse. I think a new clutch would take care of it, but I just wanted some feedback first.

I hope it is just the mounts, because if I keep my max, the ACT street clutch and a findenza flywheel were going to be my next mods. I was really hoping that would take care of it.

I've always had the chatter, but at 20K it's getting baaaaaad.

I've rode in a 4th gen. Max with a Fidanza flywheel and SPEC clutch and it doesn't seem to have ANY chatter.

That's the setup I'm going with.

I've been wondering if anyone else had this problem. I have a 2000 se 5spd with 32k miles and I get the chatter, especially when I back out of a parking spot and start going in 1st gear. Will Nissan do anything about this or will they just tell me it's normal. I've been thinking of trying to get in on the group deal for the exedy clutch, but I just don't feel that my clutch needs to be replaced since the mileage is still low.

Get used to it it's my understanding that every Maxima has this clutch chatter problem my 99 had it with the old clutch which was worn when i first bought the car and then nissan put in a one and it made very little differance maybe a little less chatter but not much i even went back and complained and made them give me a new through out bearing(i thought they pulled a fast one and left the old on in)but still the same.
