caliper paint/primer question
caliper paint/primer question
Hi All.
I painted my calipers a while back and decided to paint over my rotors with primer because I was sick of the rust. I think it looks better, but my rear passenger side rotor primer is changing colors
could the primer change color if the rotor gets too hot? I'm using dupli-color hitemp primer...
Thanks

Hmmm... painting over your rotors = BAD IDEA. You are affecting the surface contact area for the brake pads. Bad, bad, bad. Yes, they will change color because they are heating up to exteme temps while getting basically sandpapered by the brake pads.
Bad, bad idea.
