Maxspeed = 0 drop in the rear!

The rear of the car sits exactly the same height as it did with the stock springs It is stiffer and the KYBs are great but the car is very raked with the stock height in the rear!

Maxspeed rear springs = 0" drop!

After seeing pics of teins why anyone would want maxspeeds, eibachs, H&Rs or Sprints is beyond me..

The 00-01 gap is worse by 1/2" in the front.

Im not sure what you are reffering to. I have Maxspeeds and my brother has a GLE and there is a difference. Both are 2k2's.. It is not as large as the Tein springs, but it's low enough to where you can clear most objects without scraping the car, and still reduce fender gap.

That is probably the most hilarious things I have heard from a Newbie to date... THe real reason... I recently drop my max on Teins and left me be a witness to the saying that by car is the SHiettt now... it actually hugs the road...

and for the saying about just get sway bar and a strut bar... I already had them on before my drop... and they helped a little, not much, but the drop will have your max hugging the road...

I love off-ramps now... take them like a Bimmer...

Well I cant comment on the maxspeed drop but I sure can say something about clearing things w/o any problems. My car is pretty damn low as you can tell from the sig, I thought the bodykit would make things impossible to go over w/o scraping here and there all the time. Same with the speedbumps, I didnt think I would be able to go over them w/o any problems... BUT I had 5 people in the car goin over speedbumps w/o any bottoming out of any kind, driveways are also not a problem. The fendergap is minimal and I dont have any regrets about goin with Teins. The car hold more speed around the corners (ALOT more then the legal limit allows, as I unfourtunalty know ) No1 should have any clearance problems with the Teins in any way if I dont. Especially the 2K2-3 people.

Maxspeed rear springs = 0" drop!
My 2K1 was lowered 5/8 inch in the back with Maxspeed springs & the stock struts.

Looking at your sig pic, it seems like the car is almost sloped forward. Is this what the Max looks like with an "even" drop? I never wanted to lower, then I wanted the Maxspeeds, now everyone is leaning me toward the Teins. Please tell me it's not gonna feel like I'm riding on cinder blocks with them I've got a 2k3 SE and one guy on the .Org said it is the same stiffness, just better handling than the SE suspension.

My friend installed maxspeed springs on his 4thgen and when they dropped it off the lift they look almost like stock.. But after about 2 weeks they started to settle and look a lot lowered now.

well, the drop is as close to even as you can get, the pics dont do it justice. Hitman measure the drop and the difference was like .25" btween the front and rear..i think. If you look at other drops, its so much worse. you need to see a tein car in person...

What size rims and tires? I am trying to find someone in NY, LI, that has 19s that we can try on my car. No one has gotten back to me!

rims are only 17X7.5 but the tire size is 235/50/17. the back looks lowered just with that tire size. its the tires that i worry about so thats why i went with a spring with only a moderate drop.

My maxspeeds lowered the car 1.1" in the rear and 1.6" in the front, quite damn perfect if you ask me. The front gap is slightly larger, but it looks incredible. No fingers in the rear and 1 finger in front, on AGXs

Sorry I can't help with that, but will 18"s cause a rubbing problem? If I lower, I'm sure I'll upgrade the rims down the line. Just not sure how it will look going from 17's to 18's?

Its just an illusion. The fronts measure 25.5" from the fender to the ground and the rears are ar 25.75" fender to ground. The body kit is great the making the car look like its that much lower in the front since the ground clearance from the lip is 5.5" at the lowest point and 7" at the lowest point on the rear. The stiffness is just fine, I wont sugar coat it. The first week sucked and it basically was like riding around on cinder blocks til it settled in, pot holes were to be avoided at all cost and when you hit them, well it just plain sucked. Now I dont even worry about it, if I hit a pot hole it doesnt even bother me. Overall I love the setup and would recommend it to any1. Btw you wont have any bottomin out issue's, I have the body kit and I havnt. Just takes common sense.

I have ground controls and my drop is very low. The ride is cool and i love the look. I used to have eibachs. They did not drop evenly at all. I wouldve got teins, but i love riding really low to the ground. The handling is UNBELIEVABLE!!! Likewise, I do scrap my exhaust and front end every now and then. It is about 5" off the ground up front. The maxima does seem a little slanted downward in the front when you have an EVEN drop. That is because the fender in the back is cut higher. When you drop it EVEN, it seems slanted down up front. take a look...

I had a local speed shop install Maxspeed KYB GR2's yesterday on my 2001 Infiniti I30(same stock suspension as Maxima GLE). Stock had 4 1/2 finger gap in front 3 fingers gap in the rear. Now with Maxspeeds it is 2-2 1/2 finger gap front 1 1/2 finger gap rear. I am very happy with the drop. I have stock 215/55/16's. The handling is great. A night and day difference from stock.

That's the measurements I got from the Maxspeeds! From the ground to the bottom of the wheel well...front: 26.5" back: 26.75". I'm rolling on 18". I've got pics on my homepage.

Btw just how low is your ride? I mean from the fender to ground on the front and rear. The lowest point on my car on the front lip is apprx 5.5" Looks like that 1/2" is making a diff from scraping and not. I rarley ever have a problem and if I do its my fault for not paying attention.

I put on about 20 miles a week (if that) will that be enough miles or is it the time that matters till they break in? I'm concerned if the settling is related to the mileage my car will ride on cinderblocks for 6 months!

i am not sure exactly, but do yoy know how the stillen front lip is lower on the sides and sort of slants up a little? On the sides of my stillen lip..it is about 4 inches off the ground. The very front is about 4.5 or 5. I have to go pretty slow over bumps..

I might modify the upper rubber isolator to get a lower drop in the back.
