Review of Stillen Y pipe

I just got my stillen y pipe put on. I have a 2k Auto. Only HP mods are Franken intake and advanced timing(17), suspension is completley done and brakes. I love the curves When I first started the car after the install the first thing I noticed was a little different exhaust tone. Hard to explain, mabey a little throatier. It was welcomed though. My driving impresions were, first better throtle response. Second thing I noticed was the intake groan was more aparent. Thrid observation was when acelerating through the gears the power boost (compared to before) kicks in at 4k and pulls harder to red line. I did not notice alot under 4k mabey a little. Please correct me if im wrong but won't most exhaust mods help your high end primarily? Over all I am happy, definitley a difference. One question I do have is say I also get a b pipe but keep my stock muffler wont that create a bottle neck on the exhaust system? If I want to see the full benefit I will need to also install a aftermarket muffler? I think this is true but I don't wan't all the noise that is accociated with that. How much gain could I expect by addind a aftermarket muffler to a y and b pipe combo? Sorry for the length and apreciate any advice.

My stillen ypipe should be here by next week, cant wait to put it on and feel the difference but my car is gonna b really loud

people say the stock 5th gen muffler is pretty free flow for a stock muffler, but i gained high end when i went to a free flow muffler.

I have a Powertech w/4" tips, I like the sound because its not too loud. Would the Y pipe make it obnoxiously loud?

you should feel some gains, you should get a bpipe to since the piping around the stock resonator has crimps and makes it restrictive. keeping the stock muffler is all up to you.

I was also thinking about getting a y-pipe, not sure from Stillen or from Cattman. People have already mentioned, but I just want to make sure...if I buy the Cattman fed spec y-pipe, should I have to worry about it around inspection time?
