Steering wheel

Does anyone have a problem with this "kind of" tilt steering wheel that I have in my 2002 se. Its like tilt steering column not the wheel itself. There isn't a just right adjustment. I can' see the speedo from 60-80 without ducking down. I drove an 03 Altima that had the normal tilt steering(lever, left side behind turn signal. This is lame!

i am 6'3" and i have absolutely no problem seeing the speed or the tach at any speed.

i think yo uhave a problem with the way you are sitting.

i mean i could raise the power seat to go all the way up and lower the steering wheel all the way down. granted my head would be half way out the sunroof and my feet would be sandwiched betwee nthe seat and the steering wheel, but i can make it like that.

adjust you seat and steering wheel

I'm 6'0 and yes I've messed with the seat and column. I have the seat all the way down. In order to see the top of the speedometer I'd need to adjust the column all the way up like drivin a bus! I've owned GM, Chrysler, and Toyota and haven't run into this. I'd say it's only Nissans (This is my first one) but the 03 Altima that I drove was no problem. Since your tall wouldn't it be an easier exit/entry into the car if it was tilted all the way forward then you adjust it down after your seated with lever in back of the turn signal? Most cars are like this right?

the worst part about the wheel is the lack of telescopic option...thats the only thing I missed bout my Altima, the telescopic steering wheel, with it the perfect height, depth could be achieved easily

Did you have to cut your factory grill out? or just simply remove screws?

haha...not as simple as removing screws....its 3 or 4 bolts up top (can't remember) and 3 clips down below....

now this sounds quite easy but it's far from...the space you have to work with is like 1/2" in between and fitting my fat fingers in there wasn't easy...

I had my pops hold the grill out while I got at the parts and vice versa...all in all it was a 45min job or so
