Well this is basically the break down. Most people have been saying the Injen intake is great in Hot weather because it draws in colder air, but then again the main down pipe sits behind the radiator and the pipe gets heated fairly hot.

Then you got the short rams like the frankencar, great on top end, but problem is in really hot weather it bogs because of the intense hot air it sucks in from the engine bay.

IF you got a 2000 then you also have the choice of a Place Racing intake which requires you to drill a hole into the hood area and the filter actually sits outside the engine bay drawing in colder air. But then also people say that the longer pipe hurts top end a bit.

This is the jist of it and it will be nothing but a battle of which is better. Watch the posts come. "I got an Injen and LOVE IT!" or "I got a FrankenCar and it rocks!"

you're right... "Watch the posts come. 'I got an Injen and LOVE IT!'"

but I also understand that neither intake really gives NOTICEABLE changes except for sound, and I like how my injen sounds.

I have an Injen Intake and I love it. I have some imsulation wrapped around it so it won't get so hot. Haven't had a single ping yet and there was a VERY noticeable power difference.

I ordered my Franken car and will have my Injen for sale when I get the Franken installed. I decided to switch due to all the issues of the Injen sucking up hot air behind the radiator.

But Dixit, I heard people say that the Injen doesn't perform as well in really hot weather, as opposed to what you posted.
