Just received my KYB-GR2. I don't see the rubber boots with mine. Do they come with the rubber boots? There was a post on here about a month ago with picture of the KYB-GR2/Maxspeed combo. It had a picture of the struts and springs. Can somebody with the search capability hook a brother up with a link? Just want to me sure htat I got the right parts. Thanks.

 

If your talking about the boots that cover the strut shaft, you reuse your stock ones.

Yes,

It's through the DJKonTakt's GD. I paypaled him on May 4 and just got it yesterday. He's legit but it took forever and he won't send you the tracking number. Something about the struts are shipped from a different location, so he doesn't have the tracking number. I'm trying to verify whether the struts are the right kind....

 

what do you mean if there the right kind??? They better be!! I just order mine!!

 

If i ordered today, can I expect to recieve it in two weeks? and do they fit your car? That kind of worries me... It's also new right?

 

It looked new but it didn't come with any paperwork at all so I have no idea if they are for my max. I don't have any warranty info and no receipts shipped so I am not sure what to do if they don't fit or if there is something wrong with them. I guess I need to email him back and ask him...

hmm.. no paper = no warranty , or least no proof of it. Do you think they will honor the receipt from paypal?

 

I got no paperwork with mine either. I emailed him and he said he will look into it and that he didn't get paperwork either.

 

I just saw your pics on new struts/springs. Did you compress the springs before you installed them?

BTW the ride is great with Maxspeeds!

I also cut a 1/3 off the bumpstops for added travel.

 

Buy some KYB dust boots or reuse yours. I bought new boots myself, nicer than the crap stock ones. I'm on AGX/Maxspeed, very nice indeed.

 

Are they modded or are they the same as stock???

Man, he emailed me a week ago saying that he would not take payments after the 18th. And after 18th, the price would be $290. He never emailed me back after he changed his mind i guess. I think he needs to get a little more organized if he wants more people in on this deal.
