One I haven't seen yet...Windows & weather stripping
#1
Damn server...ok, lets do this again.
Has anyone noticed when they lower their windows, the glass seems to "stick" to the weather stripping?
After sitting for a moderate amount of time (say a couple hours), when I open my windows, it makes a sound like there's something sticky on the window.
I have tried cleaning the stripping with different cleaners, and it seems to help, but only temporarily. After a short time (a couple weeks), it goes back to doing the same thing.
I thought about wiping a thin layer ov Vaseline on the stripping, but b/c Vaseline is petroleum-based, I'm afraid it might cause damage to my tint. Any thoughts on that?
I also thought about using Armor-All or a silicone lubricant, but feared the same type of damage. Besides, those two items are more soluble than Vaseline.
Experience, thoughts, comments all welcome.

Wow, I'm the only one experiencing this? How about this: Do any of you tint guys know the affects of Vaseline on tint? I'd like to smear a thin layer on the weather stripping, but don't want to mess up my tint job.
Comments please.

you can buy Prestone's silicone spray in a yellow can at Walmart for like $2 or so and it works great....I had the molding "flexing" out a bit after my windows were tinted on the passenger side, rolled down the window sprayed some in the crack between the window and the molding, all around the whole window, proceeded to roll it back up and the molding pushed back into place and hasn't popped out since..

depends on how much you are trying to get down there. I've had success with wiping the tracks and after a few cycles, the window takes it down to the lower track. Regardless to how you choose to apply it, just dont get any on your paint - especially nissan paint.
