Clutch noise

I get almost a groaning sound alot of times when I pull away from a stop in my 2002 SE with the 6-speed manual transmission. Usually happens as I start to pull away slowly from a dead stop or alot when the car is on a slight incline and I start to pull away from a stop.
There's no groaning sound going from first to second, from second to third, etc.--- just going from a dead stop.

I've got Tokico struts/shocks , Eibach springs and a Stillen front strut tower brace but I don't think the sound has anything to do with the suspension.

Anyone experiencing the same thing? Anyone know what this could be??
Thanks for any help you can give...

There is a TSB for this:

I had this fixed back in February and it had been fine since.
Hope this helps.

Re: Re: Clutch noise

I just had it done too a week ago and the clutch feels much better. Car seems to pull harder from stop too.

On the side note: after they performed that TSB my clutch pedal feel was kinda crappy. It has gotten better as I put some miles on this new clutch.
Now another thing I noticed after that TSB that when I am in gear already and floor it, I hear some metalic sound(like something rattling) for a second and when it goes away. Never happened when I had original clutch, but happenes now

I am happy that I got that TSB done and that it eliminated that howling sound and cars seems to drive better, but this new metalic(like something rattling) sound really driving me nuts.
Anybody experienced the same sounds after getting that TSB done?

Thanks.

Yes, it did take a little time for the clutch to settle in but it is fine now. I'm not sure about that new noise though. I havn't experienced that.

There is a tsb, look under the altimas.net site, use their search, type in "clutch howl". You will be directed to a link that will show you a copy of the tsb. I had mine done, it took a whole day, got a rental while the work was being done. Hope this helps.

My car is getting fixed for this problem right now. Did anyone who has had this done notice any improvement in shift feel? I hope it does but at least I won't have a slipping clutch anymore
