New paint?

So I'm thinking about having my hood and front bumper repainted, to get rid of the rock chips. It's surprisingly cheap at my Nissan dealer, $275 each which includes filling in the rock chips, sanding everything smooth, etc. The dealer said they may blend paint into the fenders too, to make sure it matches.

Is there any downside though? When previous cars have been hit, the body shop has fixed and painted them, and the repair has been "perfect". But, those cars weren't six months old with brand-new paint, so...

Is it just like painting my older cars, and I shouldn't be able to tell the difference?

Or, because the paint is more or less brand-new, will I see a difference in reflection, or shadow, or...?

If you're using a good B/S you should end up with a nearly perfect match(no such thing as perfect). The fact that your paint is still new is an advantage for you as you won't have the 'faded' clearcoat mismatch.
