Anyways, the stroke of the engine determines piston speed. So, take for example the VQ35 vs. VQ30. Although they may both be spinning 6000rpms, the shorter stroke of the VQ35 causes its piston to travel faster than a VQ30 piston.
Steve can explain it a lot better than I can with his CarTest2000 software.
