I have a 2000 Maxima SE and I really want to make some changes. I was thinking of changing some of the lights but I don't know where to start. I was hoping you guys could help me out. What type of bulbs would you suggest (I like the blue colored bulbs in particular) About how much would it cost to change all the exterior lights and where should I go to get the bulbs (online somewhere or a local shop)? Also, is it easy to change all the bulbs? Can I get a ticket for having blue bulbs? I know these questions are probably really basic but this is my first real car and I'm new to the game. Thankx!

Try using the search feature (located at the upper right corner of the page) with "light" or "bulb" as the keywords. You'll find tons of info.

Here in NY....

I know it's against the law here in NY to have anything other than white lights in the front, orange on the corners and red or clear (for reverse) on the back. But it's kind of like that "jay-walking" law in New York. When have you EVER heard of anyone getting a ticket in NY for jay-walking? Everyone does it, all day long, everywhere. So it's the same thing with the lights. I've seen corner markers, different colors on the clear modified tail lights, I had a tahoe with blue and yellow lights in front (blue headlights, ice yellow (not the tacky YELLOW yellow) fogs integrated into a custom bumper) and I never got bothered. So it's just the chance you take I guess to be bothered by an a-hole cop who pulls you over for something else and writes a ticket to hit you up with as much as he can get

they are H4's

I actually got in an arguement with a salesman at a performance shop claiming that my lights were 9004. I took out the bulbs and he said sorry. Make sure to tell them your lights are H4 because some shops don't even have a listing for 2000+ maxima's. The fog lights are H3. I bought artic white NOKYA 9003(H4) which putout 4100K. The light is white/blue. My fogs are SuperWhites and they are only slightly brighter than the stock fogs. Only if you compare them side/side you can tell but otherwise it looks stock.

LOL I had to edit this because of all my typos
