Just rewired fog lights...much better
I didnt like how the only way you could turn on the fogs was with your headlights. I Rewired them so I could turn them on with the parking lights. I like the look much better.

I can for you, took me less then 5 minutes.
Open the fuse box, Look on the cover for the fog light relay and look under for a blue wire with horizontal silver marks every 5 inches or so.
Then Look for the Cornering Lamp in the cover and grab the Red wire with the vertical green stripe.
Cut the blue wire and tape up the end going down. Use a tap, and tap the blue wire from the relay to the ren wire with the green stripe.
Took me about 5 minutes, 4 of the minutes were opening the fuse box....
This is by far the easiest way ont he 2k2

I'm not electrically inclined, mind you
If you follow the instructions I posted you don't have to run any wires outside the relay box, and no extending anything.
The way you are wiring this puts an extra load on the all the front end wiring. My method grabs current right off the parking light relay and does not pull it through all the wire leading up to the parking light. You want to splice the blue/with silver dots on the fog light relay into the red/green off the parking light relay. I can supply a pic if you need.
Either way will work, but mine doesn't involve adding any wire and would be easier.

1) a tap is a cute little thingy that when put over a wire, cuts into it without cutting the wire. the real name is a "t-tap" because it wraps around a wire perpendicularly. you can then plug antoher wire into it. it's one of the easiest ways to "tap" into wires without completely cutting them from each other. it's also very clean.
2) this mod will always turn off the fogs when high beams are on. this is, i believe, a protective measure so as to not to send to much power through the wires. if you were able to drive with highs, fogs, clearance, and side markers, something may burn up.
now, if you really want to make it so you can high beam and keep the fogs on, i'm sure there is a wire that you have to reroute. i'll snoop around the fsm and see what i find.

I'm not sure if running the fogs concurrently with the high beamm would push any of the circuits beyond the fuse limit , thereby blowing a fuse.
The real reason the fogs do not work with the high beams on is because the high beam switch is in series with the fog switch's path to ground. To get them to work together you would just have to take each switch out of each others path and wire them in parallel.
I gave instructions in another post but cannot search it back for you. It was in the post with t56gen3's howto. It is easier to wire if you trace the wires from the top of the steering column or if you know of some other point you can locate the wires. The switch for the fog is right there when you take off the cover around the steering, on top.
The wiring for 2k,2k1's are different from 2k2,2k3 mostly because the wire colors are different, but the fog working with the high beam concept is the same

same for '00 or nah? i think i may actually be able to do it, if i had an easy tutorial like this one to help out...
