I'm getting a new leather steering wheel from a 2k GLE. Is this hard to change out due to the airbag? And does the middle airbag part look different from the leather one. Thanks for any help on this matter. Tom

 

I know they changed the middle section that houses the airbag from 2000 to 2001. My steering wheels is a bit "beefier" in the middle where the horn and airbag is than the 2000, while the 2000 is more of a "flat, flush" design. As for the airbag connections and other connections? Sorry I don't know about that. Do a search for it on here, if not, ask the dealer for the schematics on it. It should diagram all part numbers and show what kind of connections they are.

 

How much did the GLE steering wheel cost?
