Fried O2 sensor !

So, after a few months of driving around with my SES light on, and my car running slow, despite more mods, I finally took it to Nissan and I have a toasted O2 sensor. The light came on before my Y pipe and B pipe / straight pipe were put on. I can't blame the mods for it. The Nissan dealer I took it to here in Temecula , Ca said they would waranty it despite my exhaust mods ! It's on national backorder, so it should be fixed in a week or so. This might explain why my track times stayed the same , despite my recent mods.....

I fried one a while ago and the car didnt seem to run the same. I would expect better times now that it is fixed!

I have been driving with the light on for a month, and my gas mileage/performance suck! btw dealer said the bad sensor is located @ exhaust manifold.

Just had mine diagnosed P0171 code = Bad O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1, right after my Y-Pipe was installed too, I guess I can try to convince Nissan to warranty it.

It's my only car, and I commute an hour each way to work and back, so I have limited time to take it to the dealer. I went with Maximadave a few weeks ago, but the dumb beesh service advisor at Mossy wouldnt let the techs look at it....... It's been ordered , and the max will be back in full force soon, ready for killer2k2se's NX kit !

If they're doing it under warranty they sould give you a loaner or pay for a rental. My dealer calls and has Enterprise "pick me up" and they foot the bill. Just a thought for next time or when the do the work. It should save you some time.

ive had an SES light problem for sometime now...the light will come on...then it will go off one or two days afterwards and stay off for a good while. I thought it was gonna stay off for good not too long ago but it keeps comin back every now and then. what could this be?? could it be an O2 sensor acting up?? all this started happening before i installed my intake...so its not that. My car doesnt run any different whether the light is on or off. runs the same either way, even the first time the light came on the drivablity wasnt any different....anyone know what this could be??
