!! BIG BRAKES installed !!

I just bought and installed a Precision Brakes big brake kit. I love the new stopping power, and best of all, no brake fade!! I gotta say they look pretty nice too, behind my 19's

It includes: 13" cross-drilled zinc-coated rotors, 4-piston Wilwood calipers, Stainless Steel Teflon lines, and some DOT 4 fluid.

You can view some pics of the brakes (along with other updated pics)on page 2 on my website by CLICKING HERE.

Nice, now go to the track and let me know how they work and be prepared to buy new rotors aftre a couple of track days. Make sure the next set are not cross drilled. Enjoy!

I wish.... Nope it's just for the front sets.

13" cross/slotted rotors with 4 piston willwood calipers.

Hmmm...I've been trying to make up my mind for several weeks now between the precision kit and the stainless steel brakes kit for the Max....they have a 13" 2 piston caliper setup for $795 with slotted only rotors.....anyone have any thoughts for/against?

Why get 2 piston?? That's almost like stock.. Upgrade and go for the 4 pistons.. So you won't regret not getting it later on..

To answer your ?'s
I got them for a steal! These are 0.810" thick. More pistons = Better.

They only make sets for the front I believe. In the rear, I'll probably get some rotors/pads/SS lines once those are available.

Why not crossdrilled?

How about slotted?

You may get away with X-Drilled on the street but if you actually use the BBK (otherwise why waste the money on just bling bling) specially on the track then you run the risk of cracking them or worse...see my pic from the first page of this thread, or look here...http://members.rogers.com/maxrpm/gal...otorchange.htm

What's the lowest cost of this kit? Also I read somewhere (Stoptech article I believe) that the Wilwood piston design is inferior to most other caliper makers...I recognize that 4 pistons should work better than 2...just don't want ones that are suspect....

Great to hear that my friend. Was 11" the largest rotor you could fit or was there something else in your decision to stay at 11" instead of larger rotors? Also if I may ask, approximately how much did you pay and from whom? Thanks!
