I have a couple of Best Motoring vids saved on my computer and on a couple of them some of the Japanese driver's admitted to missing shifts occasionally or not entering the turns at the right point or too fast and exiting too slow.

My point being that regardless of what that particular competition showed the placement of the BM, it could've well have been the other way around thus leaving this a driver's race and not necessarily the car or it's handling prowess. I'd still take the M3 over that High Revving Honduh.

I can tell you exactly how large the trunk is. Go to Sams/Costco. Purchase Paper Towels and TP. (think bulk package). You are done shopping. You have room for perhaps a box of Kleenex or two left over. I use this toileties example because in my excitement to go anywhere anytime, I made that run for those items.. I wasnt sure it was gonna fit. The trunk is about as deep as half the rear bumper or where the line for the bumper meets the rear arch.

for a car like a bmw.......you should definitely buy it and then sell it in like 3 years.......you'll make most of your money back - those things hold value well

Keep the Max and when you have kids, get an Audi Rs4...Porsche tuned and track ready right out of the box.

Seriously, I have owned and leased before. I work hard for my money and mind you make a decent salary. I have a lot of cash in the market, own a condo and have cash on hand. I decided that the Max would satisfy my need for speed (was doing 120 with a WRX yesterday on the open road), my need for good looks and keep me far away from buyer's remorse. I don't even feel the payment ($329/month) and I get a lot of joy from my ride. Who the hell wants to work for their car? At the end of the term you can say to yourself..."yeah I paid $30K for that baby and now some rich ****'s son will be getting that for his graduation and leaveing me with my d!ck in my hand"

Good luck in your decision.

BTW, I LOVE MY MAX

New cars are very tempting, but I'm gonna keep my Max for at least another 1-2 years.

I'm waiting for the 2005 Subaru Legacy B4 2.5L TWIN Turbo

Will be at least as quick as the S4 2.7TT (probably quicker) for about $20+k less (new vs new). I can't wait.

1) I am so paranoid that I'll get a scratch on my car I never park it anywhere it is out of site.
2) I like to have new cars every few years.
3) You don't have to worry about problems, just get a new one and you're all set!
4) Plunking $55,000 down on a car is WAY to much money for me. I would buy an investment property or condo for that kind of quan!
You pay most of the value of the new car, you STILL have to buy it at the end of the lease, if you modify the thing, you need to pull ALL the crap out of it. Leasing is popular because alot of people like the appearance of nice things, but cannot truly afford it at the momment, or they are just being plain cheap. I think you should buy what you can afford, or atleast finance it.

Unfounded. What is the difference between leasing for 2 years and buying/selling in 2 years? You are doing the exact same thing. But if you lease you don't have to front the purchase cost of the car.(ie downpayment)

If cars didn't deperciate as much it would be another story. But they do

Yep, just gotta love those inane generalizations about what people can afford, etc. STOOPID!!!

Nevermind the tax benefits, etc. to leasing through a business, etc. that weren't even mentioned as possible reasons for leasing.

God, I hate those idiots who think like that, especially ones who only drive a freaking Nissan. Like they are in a position to come down on what others can or can't afford!!
