Does this work?? (OSCAI writeup)

http://paulwendy.com/maxima/svcai.htm
his writeup seems simple enough... i'm thinking about trying this out, but first i w*ould like to hear some experiences with this from the people who have actually tried it.... this seems a bit different from the GAB, which people rave about.... would it help further if i were to do both this OSCAI and the GAB??? i'm lookin for cheap mods here.. tryin to save up for some rims...any help will be appreciated.. thanks

Yes, it does.

That is similar to what I did (what I call the GAB w/CAI). I didn't cut off the top of the airbox, I cut the elbow underneath and ran dryer vent hose to a vent underneath, similar to his shop vac hose.

It works, but you would first have to change your filter to high flow (K&N for example) Some other org members just took their air box apart(only leaving the part which ataches to the throttle body) and left the filter outside so it basically works just like the HAI.
I think that would actually work better than the above.
Try it and see if you notice any results.

The ghetto airbox with the oscai scoop is the best set up I've found so far. Better than the injen and frankencar...at least for my 2k.

Where is your GAB if you didn't cut off the filter holder?

Good point. 255HP_03_SE, you made the OSCAI. The GAB is a great addition to what you already have.
