Has anybody tried the ECU upgrade that JET Performance Products offer? If so, what are your experiences with them and what type of performance boost if any did you get? Lastly, are there any negative side effects you experienced after upgrading your ECU? I have already read their faq, but I wanted to get some opinions from actual users. Oh and are they able to eliminate any speed limiters for the 2k2 max's.

 

No ECU upgrades work for the Maxima. Yes you can put it in and yes it'll run just fine, but the only thing it'll get you is no limiter for top end. No hp gains.

 

I know that for real, but what I dont know is why. WHY?

Because Nissan does a good job of tuning the car from the factory and doesn't mind using the same engines with roughly the same hp in their Infinity line. VW likes to detune their cars to not compete with the Audi's.
