Actually, compared to other vehicles, there is very little available for Max's. There are many versions of the same things, but that is about it.

you could get a JIC coilovers and lower the car more...that's what i'd do first...Maximas(all pretty much all cars) look sooo much better slammed.

I know I'm a newbie, but I have a plan to mod in this order:
1) otto fstb
2) progress rsb from cattman
3) cai or popcharger (haven't decided yet)
3) springs
4) wheels (got my eye on some mille miglia spider IIs... but I like the unique look of polished titanium OEM wheels on a polished titanium max.)

I would have to say that the absolute first two things you should do are tint and lower the sucker.

Do you all actually install your own springs? The manufacturer warnings are scary.

I'd say clear sidemarkers should be first for several reasons...

1) The stock orange and red markers are ugly no matter what color you got
2) It only costs about $50-$60 to do the whole thing
3) It's probably the easiest DIY job possible

My first mods were:

AE door sills,
Clear corners,
Polarg bulbs inside and out,

All of these are very easy to do yourself and very inexpensive. But they all make the car look 100x's better.

I am getting a viper two way alarm w/ auto starter next(to protect my beautiful HIDs!).

After that, I will start working on the suspension/wheels/tires. I thought , and correct me if i am wrong, that the first(best) suspension mod was the rear sway bar, then the fstb. I will probably get both at the same time any way. Is the rstb even necisary?

Good Luck w/ your Max. Be careful, I can already feel myself becoming addicted to making mods!

What part of Jersey you in? I live in PA but I work in the Ewing/Princeton area of Jersey and I haven't been hassled yet. (Knock on wood.) I got 35% Platinum tint all the way around. It's not as dark as I'd like but it's reflective so it looks good.

Thats sounds awsome! Well I live in Long Branch, which is by the shore. It is definatly the law in NJ so be careful. Maybe its light enough that they wont bother you. Alot of peeps still tint all the way in NJ anyway, but I would drive w/ your front windows down when possible. Oh wait do you have PA plates? If so you shouldn't be hassled about that. I am pretty sure it only aplies if you live and are registered in NJ. What a crappy law. I would love to add tint all the way around. Is there a very light tint that I mioght be able to get away w/ and not be pointless at the same time?

Any body Have Problems w/ the cops in NJ when your car is tinted all the way? Maybe I will go w/ a 35% like BiggD23. What do you all think.

Yeah I have PA plates, but the laws in PA are the same as Jersey...nothing at all on the front windows and nothing darker than 70% on the rest. When you look at 70% it's almost clear so it's not even worth it. I decided to go with 35% Platinum because you can still see through it a little bit when you're up close, but it gives a mirrory metallic look from a small distance. And you're right...I see people every day with tint that's way darker than the legal limit. My tint guy said basically as long as the cop can still see through your front window somewhat he'll probably leave you alone. Unless you're doing something stupid to attract attention.
