2003 Grey Lustre SE
4 speed automatic
Bose Stereo
Titanium Package
The pictures do not do the Grey Lustre justice. It really is one of the nicest and deepest color's I've personally seen.
She got it for dealer invoice, which was like $26.5k, and it stickered for $28.4k. Plus she got 1.9% financing.
We'll be shooting for a 14.XXXXX when we go to the dragstrip after break-in is over of course.
It's a big upgrade over her 4 banger Alero.

she looks like she has potential... but i'll give her the benefit of my doubt cause she is obviously intelligent- she bought a maxima.
to other org members: please do not spoil the new addition with references to color, price, tranny, etc. THEY ARE HAPPY!
by the way i have the grey lustre also. so sweeet!!! enjoy

She would have got the 6 speed if it was available, trust me. It's imposible to find now though. She would have got black too, but that'salso hard to come by. She would have gotten leather, but that's hard to come by in charcoal. She basically just did the best she could, and luckily it was at the same dealership (Ann Arbor Acura/Nissan) that I am buying my CL-S from, so she got a decent deal on it (I think anyway.)

I just got my Maxi and my girldfriend is thinking about getting a car. Her parents are thinking of an H2, but yea ok...first time driver in an H2. It's like giving an AK47 to an effin mental patient. I only wish that her rents would get her a Max..that would be hott sonnnn!!

hey, you know you dont have to break in cars anymore.. thats old skewl cars theyre talkin about when they say break it in.. when older cars were made, their parts were not smooth and has some imperfections. thats why they recommend breaking it in to smooth out the parts and get rid of imperfections. Due to technology advances, we dont need to break in cars anymore. the pistons are now microfinished and polished. If you take a automotive class, you'll learn about this. Just lettin you konw though. But people still do it just to make themself feel better which is fine.
Car looks sweet though..

For the first 1000 miles:
no full throttle in any gear
avoid quick starts
avoid hard breaking
avoid driving for long periods at constant speeds
no towing for first 500 miles

Your right, it didn't belong in this thread but there is a break in period. Check Chapter 5 of you manual.

I went on a roadtrip from Orlando, FL where I got the car, to Salt Lake City, UT where my girlfriend was in school. A distance of 2363.51 miles! IIRC, I made the 40 hour drive in 32 hours or so.
It was quite a trip. The things I do for love... *tear*

Next time she gets all made up for a night out I'll snap some pics of her with the car. Right now it's like 60* up here in Detroit, so no bikini shots, that wouldn't be cool.........for her

hahahaha. deng this thread is too funny con gratz on her new purchase, she made a great choice.. have u looked into the 2k4 max? the exterior is questionable, but i think the interior is freagin' nice.. the cl-S is a great car too. but i like nissans alot, that's why i have a max.

I was talking about the 6th gen. The previous poster had mentioned buying an 04 max over my ordered CL Type-S. I have definitely came around on the 5th gen since it came out. I still think the rear is a little strange, but overall it's a badass car, and looks 10973525128 times better than the 04's.

Found a minute.....
Thought I'd take a minute from pumping gas to FINALLY register as I've been meaning to. I just bought my '03 Gray Lustre SE about a week and a half ago, and can't wait to see what I can do with it. Looks like a great board, am sure I'll find plenty of ideas and info.
Thanks for the compliments, and I'll get some pics of me with the car next time I wash it.

I posted the pics for her because she isn't good at the whole message board/ picture posting stuff. And since when do you need mods to post a picture, it was just an introduction.
