Intake: INGEN, Stillen, Frankencar Which one?!
Hey Guys,
I want to install an intake. Don't know which one. What the heck is the difference between the "Cold air intake" vs "Hi flow intake". For example, I see ingen with the cold air intake, and I see stillen and frankencar with just air intake. Which one is better or does it not matter?
Thanks,
Jerry

Build your own!!!
I purchased an JWT pop charger and installed it on my car from day one. All you do is attach the billot aluminum bracket by the maf and secure to frame of car for stability. I've read that a loose maf my get damaged if not secured properly. Or to much oil on air intake after cleaning can mess it up as well. So this weekend's project was to make my own Franken tube. I purchased a 2 foot long by 3" diameter pvc pipe with 2, 3" pipe couplings, Tap tool for 1/2", a 1/2" connector and spray paint. First took off air resinator from throttle body. Measured approx. for pvc tube; pipe whatever, which for me came out to about 7". Then tapped into the middle, connected hose to valve body. By the way also purcased 1/2" hose 3 feet with metal clamps to do this. Spray painted and reattached with all the couplings and clamps and checked for leaks. Tightened all down took a few runs and the sound is incredible. Throaty and mean sounding. Not a bad diy project for around $20 bucks, cheaper if you have this stuff lying around. Took the car on a long trip and no problems just lots of fun jumping all over it just to hear the sound.
