Question about LED bulbs

how do the LED bulbs differ from the regular wedge bulbs? do they shine brighter? from what i've seen they dont seem to shine as bright.. and they seem to give off somewhat of a dull color... is this true with all LEDs? if anyone has pictures, could u post too please....

i had LED turn signals... they are brighter and blink a little faster due to more required power... and i think they look cool...u shoudl get the jam straight ones... almost every car store has them...
i think they are better than normal bulbs.

LEDs are usually brighter but give off less light. They also usually use a lot less power.

This means when you look at them they are bright but do not light up the light or area like a lightbulb (i.e. headlight).

Most LED lights I have seem, all you see is the red/blue/etc dot for the LED. they don;t light up the housing unless their are lots of them like the cady tails or the round truck tails.
